Asia –
LEGAL 21 ABOGADOS carries out a significant part of its work in Asia, approaching it from two perspectives:
First, as a geographical area of the world in which to provide legal assistance to its clients. Its extensive international network (China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philippines, etc.) allows it to represent and assist clients in these jurisdictions where they require local legal services, always with the same personalized attention and with identified and readily available contacts.
J. Félix de Luis is admitted as an arbitrator to the main Asian International Arbitration Courts, such as China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), where he was recently conferred the title of “CIETAC Honorary Arbitrator”; Beijing International Arbitration Commission (BAC/BIAC); Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC); Shanghai International Arbitration Centre (SHIAC); Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), Weihai Arbitration Commission (SHANDONG) and China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) in China. Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) in Singapore. Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA), now Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), in Malaysia. Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB) in South Korea. Chinese Arbitration Association (CAA) in Taiwan. Philippine Dispute Resolution Center (PDRC) in the Philippines. Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) in the United Arab Emirates, UAE.
Secondly, LEGAL 21 ABOGADOS views Asia as a place for seeking and developing business opportunities for Spanish companies in that region and, conversely, for seeking business opportunities for Asian companies in Spain and Ibero America.
J. Félix de Luis has made a personal commitment regarding the “triangulation” or Spanish position between Asia and Ibero America, understood as the commitment of Spanish companies located in this part of the world, and Local companies, who can extend their presence in Asia through Spain. Conversely, as a commitment to leveraging our presence in Ibero America as a benchmark for Asian companies to establish themselves in this region through Spain. During China Arbitration Week (CAW), and for ten consecutive years, J. Félix de Luis has organized the Seminar “Spanish Arbitration Day in Beijing” with CIETAC.
Furthermore, among other activities, he promoted and organized the Seminar with IPBA (Inter-Pacific Bar Association) for its mid-year meeting, “IPBA meets in Madrid four Regions: Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America,” in September 2025. Finally, he promoted and organized the “Spanish Day” seminar in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during “Riyadh International Dispute Resolution Week (RIDW 2026), which focused on international arbitration and trade relations between Spain and Ibero America with Saudi Arabia. Finally, in April 2026, he co-organized with CIETAC the seminar “East Meets West: An Encounter in Madrid among Arbitration Institutions,” during the ICCA Annual Conference 2026 held in Madrid. Sixteen International Courts of Arbitration participated in this event
